PARTNER NETWORK

Credible African capability.
International connection.

The African Research & Innovation Partner Network is being developed to connect relevant institutions, expertise, operating environments and international innovation opportunities around workable projects.

WHAT THE NETWORK IS FOR

Relationships with a
project purpose.

An effective research partnership requires more than a contact list.

EXPAVIA is building a source-verified capability database covering African universities, research and technology organisations, research centres, innovation hubs, public agencies, operators, SMEs and infrastructure owners. Each entry identifies potential capability; it does not constitute a formal partnership or confirm availability.

We identify which organisations can contribute substantive research expertise, operational facilities, local legitimacy, project management, users or access to suitable operating conditions.

We then seek to connect those capabilities with relevant opportunities and define roles in consortia, contracted R&I work packages, applied-research assignments, pilots or implementation projects. Formal institutional relationships and a separate specialist resource pool are developed alongside the database, with roles, resources and contractual commitments agreed for each engagement.

NETWORK DEVELOPMENT

Ambition with
clear boundaries.

We distinguish existing EXPAVIA institutional relationships from the formal R&D network being developed and from longer-term pan-African coverage.

RELATIONSHIPS

Existing connections

Relevant EXPAVIA relationships may provide a starting point for dialogue, subject to each party's interest and consent. They are not automatically R&D network members.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Source-verified capability mapping

Our current emphasis is identifying and source-checking institutional and operating capabilities, without treating database entries as committed partners.

LONG-TERM DIRECTION

Pan-African reach

Our ambition is a trusted, geographically diverse partner network that can support opportunities across African markets where justified by evidence.

The African institutional network is distinct from the project-specific expert and consultant pool. Neither network membership nor resource availability is claimed without confirmation and permission.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Capability before
visibility.

We are interested both in African institutions and operating partners and in qualified specialist professionals who can contribute to defined research, management, communication, training or implementation assignments.

  • Relevant technical expertise and documented institutional capability
  • Credible local operating conditions, users or facilities
  • Ability and willingness to participate in properly governed projects
  • Clear expectations about roles, data, permissions and potential outcomes
  • Commitment to meaningful African participation and practical impact
